The Sugarcraft Circle

Competition

How it works

Choose your level, enter, vote, and see the results.

1 · Level

Choose your level

When you enter, you choose Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. You only compete with members at the same level, in the same category. An admin may move an entry to a level that fits it better.

    2 · Enter

    Enter your work

While entries are open, you can enter one recent piece in each category: Cakes, Cookies and Sugar Art. Each entry needs two original photographs taken from different angles. An admin checks every entry before it is shown.

    3 · Vote

    Choose your favourites

Once voting opens, choose one entry in each group, for example Beginner Cakes. You can vote in every level. Names are hidden while voting is open. You can't change your vote after it is cast, and you can't vote for your own entry.

    Ribbons, rosettes and cups

When voting closes, the names and vote counts are shown. The winner in each group receives an award for their level, which is shown on their Baker Directory profile:

    • 🎀 Ribbon: Beginner winner
    • 🏵️ Rosette: Intermediate winner
    • 🏆 Cup: Advanced winner

    Rules

    • Members' votes count once. Instructors' votes count twice. Admins run the competition and do not vote.
    • The work and the photographs must be your own. Photographs must be exactly as taken: no cropping, filters, edits or AI of any kind. Altered photographs are not accepted and may lead to removal from the competition.
    • Original photographs from your phone or camera are quickest to approve. Screenshots and images saved from social media take longer to check.
    • Sign in with the email you use on The Sugarcraft Circle. Your sign-in link arrives as a Circle message from The Baker Directory.
